FCG Open Air Theatre

Architectural design for a new Open Air Theatre inside the most important cultural complex of the city of Leon, the FCG (Forum Cultural Guanajuato). The plot of aprox. 3,500 sqm is located between the History Museum and the main Theatre (Teatro Bicentenario) alongside a green area known as the jacaranda sculpture garden. The design generates two levels of stands for a total of 3,800 people wrapped by two circular ramps holded by several concrete slabs which creates a latticework allowing transparency and dialogue with the Art Museum and the main Theatre nearby. The main stage is located at the northeast side close to the street making easy the access to all the required spaces. The design can be built in two or three stages according the available resources.
