Finalist. National competition for the New Cathedral of Celaya, Guanajuato. In collaboration with the architects Juan Bonilla, Carlos Morán and Juan Martín Gutiérrez. The program had apart from the main building of the Cathedral new spaces for a Community Center and Funeral Chapels. The aim of our proposal was to create a "city into the city" where the buildings, as independent pieces, surround you into a green and a great new space. A new public park with the Community Center in the underground, new multi-purpose Atrium with access to the Funeral Chapels one level below and the main building of the new Cathedral, looking to the west and inspired in the ancient and traditional elements of the Catholic Church define this new urban centrality.
